BREAKFAST: Breakfast is typically served at 9, but guests who wish to dine earlier or later need only ask for a time change. Every effort will be made to accommodate your request. Breakfast is normally a hot, sit-down breakfast, except during the Saint James Court Art Show. On those days, a varying continental breakfast will be available for guests to partake of at their leisure.

CHECK-IN TIME: 3 PM to 9 PM, unless prior arrangements are made.
CHECK-OUT TIME: 11 AM, unless prior arrangements are made. This is an important deadline for the inn since the guest room might have to be cleaned and prepared for other guests who might be checking in as early as 3 PM that same day. Guests who overstay their normal or adjusted departure time can expect to incur an additional cost of $20.00 per 15 minute period, pro-rated.
CHILDREN: Only children 12 and older can be accommodated. Except for such special events as the Kentucky Derby, the parents of juvenile guests will be charged an additional $40/night/child. For Derby, children’s additional charge is $100/child/night.
DEPOSIT/CANCELLATION POLICY: A deposit equal to one night’s stay is usually required to reserve a room, except for during the Kentucky Derby weekend (see below). If a guest cancels his or her reservation 7 days or fewer before the expected 3 PM time and date of check-in, the guest will forfeit the entire deposit amount unless that same room can be re-rented for that time period. If the room can, in fact, be re-rented, then the full deposit will be refunded, minus a $10.00 administrative fee. If a guest cancels before the 7-day window begins, he or she will receive a full refund, minus a $10.00 administrative fee. In order to satisfy the 7-day requirement, guests must notify the inn by texting 512-971-7922; calling 502-883-3140; or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
DERBY/CANCELLATION POLICY: A deposit of $1000.00 per room is required to make a reservation for the Kentucky Derby weekend, and there is a 3-night minimum stay for this event. The deposit policy as described above is the same as it is for Derby EXCEPT that the important cancellation window is 40 days, not 7 days. The $10.00 administrative fee remains the same, as does the acceptable notification methods.
KEY CHARGES: Un-returned/lost exterior door keys incur a re-keying charge of $200. The safety and security of guests is of paramount importance to us, and I cannot take a chance that an unaccounted-for key might fall into the wrong hands, hence our policy to have the locks re-keyed each time a key goes missing. Un-returned/lost guest room skeleton keys will incur an additional charge of $95/key, as these are not your usual door keys. Each one had to be created by a master locksmith. Please be careful not to lose track of these skeleton keys.
PETS: Guest pets are not permitted. There are, however, dogs and a cat on the premises.
