Welcome to the Inn at Saint James Court

One of Louisville, KY’s newest bed and breakfasts is an 1890’s Victorian mansion, which is now open to the public for rest, relaxation and awe-inspiring views of Louisville’s most iconic neighborhood: beautiful Saint James Court. The Inn at Saint James Court sits at the center of this tree-lined neighborhood with an inspiring view of its magnificent fountain, Venus Rising from the Sea. In temperate weather expect to join old friends or meet new friends as you enjoy a made-from-scratch breakfast under the shade of the wraparound porch’s patio-table umbrella. Experience the envy of tourists who frequent this residential neighborhood, all wondering what lies behind the doors of these phenomenal structures, one of which has become your own home away from home. Walk the neighborhood yourself, following in the footsteps of Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla–despite their very short 2015 visit to Louisville, city leaders set aside time for the Royals to actually stroll around Saint James Court—and only Saint James Court.

The Inn at Saint James Court, on the National Register of Historic Homes, has been meticulously maintained to preserve its original exterior and appearance. Inside, however, the interior has been extensively updated to enhance the comfort of the inn’s guests, while simultaneously maintaining the stained-glass windows, hand-carved moldings and many other original appointments. With only three guestrooms, the on-site owner/innkeeper can offer the degree of attention to detail and personal service that larger lodgings simply can’t provide. Your stay at the Inn at Saint James Court will be reminiscent of all the comforts of your own home but with the added luxury of amenities specially selected to make your stay memorable, such as towel warmers, lighted make-up mirrors, full-size flat-screen TVs, in-room free snacks and much more.
